Pinktober Kickoff for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
This month means a lot to me and my family, and supporting Breast Cancer awareness is a personal mission for me and my business.
Breast Cancer awareness and prevention of this disease is very personal to me, since I am a survivor of Breast Cancer myself! I decided to fight it with all I had, and that meant making some changes to my lifestyle, starting with cleaning products!
On my quest to fight this disease, I discovered that 80% of breast cancers are related to environmental influences with the majority of that being common household cleaning products! So many of these products are loaded with bleach which is the MOST toxic ingredient of them all, as well as artificial fragrances, phthalates and more. I was shocked to find this out, but I knew what I had to do. I quickly implemented non-toxic green products for house cleaning at home and in my business. This mission has been a part of my journey to share with families, especially the women going through breast cancer.
Since my personal breast cancer diagnosis, I started to give back to my local community through a non-profit organization called Cleaning for a Reason.
I realized first-hand how important a clean home was to patient recovery, as well as reducing stress levels. Here’s why: When we remove the burden of cleaning, the patient and their family can focus on healing, together.

Since partnering with Cleaning for a Reason in 2017, Maid in America has supported over 60 cancer patients with donated house cleaning services. Maid in America continues to support two homes per month for two consecutive months, free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Northwest Georgia counties of North & West Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding & Bartow.

Since 2006, the nonprofit and its partners have donated more than $15.5 million in services, helping more than 46,000 cancer patients.
