LOCAL OWNER CONTINUES MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Kennesaw, GA – May 9, 2023 – For the past 6 years, Maid in America has been donating home cleaning services to local cancer patients through their partnership with the nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Owner Vicky Bates has a passion for changing lives one home at a time, especially those cancer patients most in need of a clean, safe, healthy home.

“When I discovered that 80% of breast cancers are related to environmental influences, I quickly implemented non-toxic green products,” said Bates. “I am a breast cancer survivor and we are truly ‘tickled pink to clean green.’ It has been a part of my journey to share with families, especially the women going through breast cancer, how important a clean home is to their recovery as well as reducing stress levels. When removing the burden of cleaning, we know that family can focus on the healing of their loved one. Since my personal breast cancer diagnosis, I have been honored to give back to my local community through Cleaning for a Reason.”

 

Since partnering with Cleaning for a Reason in 2017, Maid in America has supported a total of 55 cancer patients with a donated value of $14,239 in cleanings. Maid in America continues to support two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Northwest Georgia communities of North West Cobb, South Cherokee, Paulding, South Bartow & the city of Douglasville.
