Now that the ‘LOVE’ month is behind us we gleefully move into March Madness and I have to be honest with you- I am not crazy about the madness invoked by the screaming and shouting for that ball to get through the hoop. Even as a kid I played on some basketball teams but odd as it is I have never enjoyed watching basketball. Let’s find better reasons to look forward to March.
I do love rainbows and leprechauns don’t you? I love that it is fun to imagine what might be at the end of that rainbow, but let’s face it…ELUSIVE! What does make us happy about March is knowing that we are moving out of winter! Budding plants are beginning to show and we just can’t wait to get outdoors! So you want to clean up your indoors? Here’s my top 6 super easy “clean-up your indoor living” checklist:
GET SOME HOUSE PLANTS! They help clean up the toxins in the air. Check out these beauties:
- Bamboo Palm. Chamaedorea Seifrizii
- Chinese Evergreen. Aglaonema Modestum
- Gerbera Daisy. Gerbera Jamesonii
- Dragon Tree. Dracaena Marginata
- Pot Mum. Chrysanthemum Morifolium
- Peace Lily. Spathiphyllum 'Mauna Loa'
- Spider Plant. Chlorophytum Comosum 'Vittatum'
- Mass Cane/Corn Plant
Store toxic chemicals like paints & insecticides out of the occupied areas. Don’t use pesticides indoors. Try the sticky traps instead and keep crevices sealed so they can’t get in to begin with.
Ventilate your spaces when working on projects that produce fumes by opening windows and turning on fans.
Keep the HVAC filters replaced often so that air dust is minimized.
Keep bathrooms well ventilated to reduce build-up of mold and mildew.
Vacuum floors weekly & take your shoes off at the door!
