COVID PROTOCOLS FOR OUR CLIENTS SAFETY

Since March of 2020, all our cleaning staff have been trained to follow our specialized COVID training through a worldwide training organization called GBAC.

We have utilized this information for our entire staff to better care for your environment and keep you safe.  Here are some additional protocols our technicians will be following for your added protection:

•  Washing her hands before leaving her home and coming straight to your address.
•  Disinfecting her steering wheel, cell phone and car door handles.
•  Disinfecting her caddy handles, mop and broom handles daily.
•  Removing her shoes at the door and working in socks or shoe covers.
•  Wearing a mask upon entering a home.
•  Washing her hands again upon entering then wearing her gloves if requested.

Our policies spell out the importance of communicating with one another regarding illness. Our guarantee is that we will not come into your home with a contagious illness especially a flu type which is highly contagious. We ask the same. You may notice that our technicians will be wearing a mask if needed for the entire cleaning upon request by you as well as gloves. She will not be offended with your request and we are sure you would understand the importance of our safeguarding procedures.  We may like to lower the mask if our client can be safely distanced in another area.  It does get hot and sweaty while cleaning.

Your home will be happier with our revised cleaning techniques and disinfecting products, especially during this time. We continue using our non-toxic EPA registered botanical disinfectant from Melaleuca, however, our clients are always welcome to provide their own preference. 

We will gladly exchange the dusting details of blinds, window sills, ceiling fans, lights fixtures & lamp shades for a 10-15 minute disinfecting detail. Anyone can request this exchange. Since surfaces can carry germs for day’s we must all be diligent in cleaning & disinfecting. Research states that simple washing is the first most important step in breaking down a virus germ, THEN disinfecting. 

For our clients on a weekly or bi-weekly service we offer a FREE “End of Month” project in which they can request to have a couple of items from the below “High Touch Hot Spots” listing and she will do as much in order of preference that the allotted FREE time allows:

High Touch Hot Spots:

– All wall light switches/plates
– All door knobs (both sides) & deadbolts
– All remote controls
– Middle part of door frames that get touched most
– Light switches inside lamps
– Knobs and pulleys on cabinetry.
– W/D knobs
– Wand or pulleys that open blinds

TIPS FOR YOUR HOME HEALTH:

• Wash hands often throughout the day and as soon as you get home. Teach the kids the 15 second rule for time needed in the water with soap to truly get rid of germs. We also tell our little guy that it’s like the time it takes to brush your teeth.
• Spray toothbrushes with apple cider vinegar or regular white vinegar in between uses, leave on 30 seconds then rinse. It’s recommended to get a new toothbrush after colds, flu or other bugs. They can also be put in dishwasher for great heat exposure.
• Open windows when weather permits. See our March Madness blog for information on indoor air.
• Close toilet lid BEFORE flushing.
• Get indoor plants (also in March Madness blog).
• Cell phones and public phones are huge at harboring germs so keep them disinfected as often as you wash your hands.
• Keep disposable cloths (ie: paper towels) handy when pumping gas into your vehicle so your skin doesn’t touch.
• Use a disinfecting wipe on devices at check-out before you touch or immediately clean hands after.
• Use a paper towel to open public doors or your shirt.
• Wipe down grocery cart handle with sanitizing wipe.
• Use finger knuckle to press elevator buttons then disinfect or wash hands. These areas are loaded with germs!
• Throw pillows on the dryer hot heat cycle for 10 minutes after illness & even during in my opinion, plus, it kills dust mites!
• A great DIY hand sanitizer:  make your own using 3 parts water to 1 part 70% (or higher) Isopropyl alcohol and add favorite essential oil for fragrance if desired. Shake and put in spray bottle or use old t-shirt squares and saturate those with your solution then carry in zip lock bag.
