Now that the weather is showing signs of spring we begin to feel the connections to fresh beginnings. Many of us feel the common urges to start planning new gardening ideas so we visit our gardening centers and get excited seeing all the potential bloom in our own yards.
Many of you are thinking about that purging process from last month’s blog which leads to SPRING CLEANING!
One of the best cleaning projects is getting the windows ready to open to the outdoors! You know – those spring days when it has just rained and the pollen is too wet to come inside. Beware though, of what is actually lurking in your outer window sills and track areas… dead bugs, dust particles and old pollen along with mold! This makes for a disgustingly non-healthy situation.
Here is Maid in America’s all-natural, EASY cleaning solution to prepare those windows for bringing in the outdoors…
One extra step you may want to add after the sills have dried is to sprinkle baking soda along the track. Bugs aren’t fond of it AND it continues to absorb odors to help keep your breeze fresh!
If you are real bug-a-phobe, you can spray a water mixture of peppermint essential oil along the window sills. The spiders especially hate that smell!
